Suits riders around 6 years and up
The EVO Racing 20" is RFN's lightweight entry bike, built on a 20-inch wheel and an aluminium frame. It's the natural first electric bike for a child who has outgrown a pedal bike and wants a throttle. RFN rate it for riders approximately 6 years and up — though height and confidence matter more than birthdays, so talk to us if you're between sizes.
Three speed modes, parent-selected
-
Eco — 15 km/h. Learning throttle and brakes.
-
Low — 25 km/h. Confident riding on familiar ground.
-
Sport — 35 km/h. Experienced riders only.
Motor and battery
-
36V 750W brushless motor with a sine wave controller for smooth, predictable power delivery
-
36V 7.5Ah removable lithium battery — swap in a spare and keep riding
-
Up to 1 hour 15 minutes, or roughly 15km, on the lowest speed modes
Chassis, suspension and brakes
-
Aluminium frame — lighter than a steel-framed equivalent, which makes a real difference to a small rider
-
Dual suspension front and rear
- Hydraulic disc brakes
-
20 x 2.5" all-terrain tyres — the larger wheel rolls over rough ground far better than a 14"
EVO Racing 20" or Warrior SX-E500?
The EVO has more motor (750W v 500W), a bigger wheel and an aluminium frame. The SX-E500 is steel-framed with a 14" wheel and a lower starting price. If your child is taller and riding rougher ground, the EVO is usually the better call. Ask us if you're unsure.
